Welcoming Christy Austin to Our Team

We are thrilled to welcome Christy Austin to the Southeast Raleigh Promise team as our new Director of Finance and Operations.

Christy brings a results-oriented approach to overseeing daily operations, financial planning, grant writing, and fundraising activities. Driven by a deep commitment to organizational mission and impact, she combines her leadership experience in both nonprofit and for-profit sectors to help organizations strengthen and create positive change in the community.

Christy excels in navigating daily operations, with expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, strategic planning, and executing comprehensive financial plans. Her commitment to social impact is evident through her leadership in community outreach programs and her success in securing funding from state, federal, and private sources.

A native of Texas, Christy holds an MBA in Nonprofit Management from Johnson & Wales University and a BFA in Studio Arts from Texas A&M University-Commerce.

Christy steps into the role previously held by Wanda Lassiter, and we are excited to continue our journey together with her on board.
