Rooted In Community, SE Raleigh Promise Plans For What’s Next
At Southeast Raleigh Promise, we believe that working alongside our neighbors to grow, thrive, and prosper means that we grow, too.
Part of our growth involves approaching our next five-year strategic planning process. The planning process kicked off in early-July with a two-day visit from Trepwise, a New Orleans-based strategy consulting firm that supports purpose-driven organizations like ours. This partnership was made possible through our connection as a member of the Purpose Built Communities (PBC) network.
Trepwise’s Matt Campbell and Celeste Lavelle toured our Beacon Site campus, met 1-on-1 with each member of the SE Raleigh Promise team, and led a Board of Directors session in our community classroom. A member of the PBC team also joined us. While here, they met with our anchor partners, elected officials and funders to hear their perspectives on how we can strengthen our partnerships and be of better service to the community.

They also connected with the heart of our mission: residents! They held conversations with Beacon Ridge residents, our Legacy Resident Ambassadors who represent four historic Black neighborhoods in Southeast Raleigh, and our Youth Ambassadors. In the coming weeks, Trepwise will continue its outreach to key partners and will wrap-up the discovery phase of the process.
We’re excited about this opportunity and the outcome of the process that will help inform how we will flourish into our mission for the next five years and beyond.
