Beacon Point Groundbreaking

Beacon Point Groundbreaking

On December 8, we celebrated the official groundbreaking of Beacon Point, along with Self Help Credit Union, Southeast Raleigh YMCA, and Advance Community Health.

Beacon Point will be a community hub designed to bring health and wellness, financial services, nonprofit and small business services, and other community resources to complement existing affordable housing, education, and wellness services in the neighboring community.

Each element of the Beacon Point project responds to the community’s needs and provides programs, services, and opportunities essential to the success of families and the community at large. Tenants at Beacon Point will provide an estimated 90 permanent jobs, serving approximately 85,000 customers annually. Additional impacts will stem from millions of dollars of design and construction investment to help support jobs while the project is under development, including a focus on significant utilization of federally designated Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprise (MWBE) contractors.

Committed tenants include UNC Health, Advance Community Health, Self-Help Credit Union, and Southeast Raleigh Promise.

Two GoRaleigh bus routes serve the site, and there is a convenient access point to the Walnut Creek Greenway.
