Southeast Raleigh Promise Announces New Small Business Grant
Small businesses in Southeast Raleigh will soon have access to a new funding opportunity designed to strengthen and grow the small business community along Rock Quarry Road.
The Rock Quarry Road Corridor Small Business Alliance, founded by Southeast Raleigh Promise, will officially announce the Promise in Action Rock Quarry Road Corridor Small Business Grant at a community information and networking event on March 30, 2026.
Powered by the Duke Energy Foundation, the grant program is part of Southeast Raleigh Promise’s ongoing work to support economic vitality and inspire local entrepreneurship in the Rock Quarry Road corridor and surrounding neighborhoods. Through the Small Business Alliance, the organization connects entrepreneurs with resources, partnerships, and funding opportunities that help businesses grow, thrive, and prosper while they serve the community.
The Rock Quarry Road Corridor and Surrounding Area runs from Rock Quarry Road at New Bern Avenue (near the former DMV site) south to Sunnybrook Road, then west along Sunnybrook Road to Poole Road, and north along Poole Road to the Poole Road/New Bern Avenue split.
The March announcement includes details of the new grant program, including funding availability, eligibility requirements, and the application timeline. Business owners will also learn how the initiative aligns with broader efforts to strengthen the corridor’s small business footprint.
The event will bring together entrepreneurs, small business owners, community partners, and entrepreneurial support organizations to share information about the program and highlight the RQRC SBA’s work to support local businesses.
