Building Our Community Together: First Responders Kits4Kids

We were proud to support the “First Responders Kits4Kids” volunteer event held at Roberts Park in Southeast Raleigh.

Hosted in communities across North Carolina and nearby states, the event was sponsored by EdVentures, LLC, and WalMart. More than 25 local first responders and Southeast Raleigh Promise Legacy Resident Ambassadors joined to pack 400 kits that our local police and firefighters will use to give to children experiencing an immediate crisis.

Later in the fall, we look forward to welcoming the newly constructed Fire Station 3, and first responders, as our neighbors. The relocation of Fire Station 3 to Rock Quarry Road is rooted in its history as the first, all-Black brigade in the city of Raleigh, serving Southeast Raleigh.
