Bringing Small Business Together: RQRC SBA Hosts First Networking Event for Corridor Entrepreneurs

SERP - RQRC SBA - PLANNING 2

Our Rock Quarry Road Corridor Small Business Alliance (RQRC SBA) is excited to announce its first-ever networking event, created specifically for the small businesses located along the Rock Quarry Road corridor and surrounding areas.

The event will be September 30 at Chavis Park. Participating small businesses will gather for a unique opportunity to connect, collaborate, and gain valuable resources from local Entrepreneurial Support Organizations.

Since March, a dedicated planning team, made up of small business owners within the corridor, has met monthly to help shape the direction of this initiative, identifying the tools, resources, and workshops that will best serve our community and its small business owners.

Standing on the promise of economic vitality as one of our four pillars of community strength, we are grateful to Truist for making this initiative possible, and to our partners on the City of Raleigh’s Small Business Development Team and its Office of Innovation and Strategy. We also have partnered with Prospera to assist us in supporting our Hispanic and Latina-owned small businesses in the area.

In addition to Truist, the City of Raleigh teams, and Prospera, the other Entrepreneurial Support Organizations expected to attend the inaugural networking event are: Capital Area Workforce Development (CAWD), The Wright Village, Wake Tech Small Business Center, Small Business &Technology Development Center (SBTDC),Score Raleigh, Southeast Raleigh Rotary Club, and the Carolina Small Business Development Fund.

This is just the beginning! We are thrilled to continue building a stronger, more connected small business community along the Rock Quarry Road Corridor and surrounding areas.
