On Wednesday, we held not only one, but two well-attended resident meetings at Beacon Ridge Apartments, located on our Beacon Site campus off Rock Quarry Road. Hosted by Southeast Raleigh Promise in partnership with DHIC and Community Management Corporation, both the early afternoon and evening sessions were near Standing Room Only!

Our Resident Services Coordinator, Mikayla Cunningham, and Property Manager, Victoria Guerrero-Aquino, opened each session with warm introductions and engaging icebreakers to help residents feel welcome and connected.

Residents also got a deep dive into the pillars of purpose and the partnerships behind the Beacon Site Purpose Built Community, where SE Raleigh Promise serves as the community quarterback alongside DHIC, SE Raleigh YMCA, SE Raleigh Elementary, and Self-Help Credit Union. They also learned about onsite services offered at Beacon Point, a hub of financial, healthcare, legal and family services, a restaurant, and our headquarters and nonprofit suites.
Mikayla also shared powerful insights from the first-ever Beacon Ridge resident survey — with 63% of households responding! She explored the honest feedback residents shared on the survey regarding their needs and aspirations in the areas of housing, health and wellness, food access, and economic opportunity. The room buzzed with lively discussion, ideas, questions and answers, and a sure commitment to help Beacon Ridge transform into a community to continue to grow, thrive, and prosper.

Thanks to everyone who came out! We’re excited for what’s next, and we look forward to building an even stronger Beacon Ridge community – together.
