Beacon Point Scheduled to Open to the Public Later This Year

Beacon Point-Multi Use Bldg Rendering 12 2021

In October, ground was broken on Beacon Point, the final parcel to be developed at the Beacon Site located along Rock Quarry Road. The 32-acre site, now home to the Southeast Raleigh YMCA, Southeast Raleigh Elementary, and Beacon Ridge Apartments will soon be home to Beacon Point, a 43,000-sq-ft commercial-retail complex scheduled to open to the public later this year that will include a Self-Help Credit Union branch and a two-story multi-tenant building.  Focused on the Economic Vitality pillar of our work, the Beacon Point community hub represents a partnership between Southeast Raleigh Promise, Southeast Raleigh YMCA, and Self-Help, which serves as the developer of this final phase.

In addition to a Self-Help Credit Union branch, Beacon Point will feature nonprofits and small businesses that provide health and wellness services and other opportunities that help families and communities thrive and prosper. Among them: UNC Health and Advance Community Health, with additional spaces available for leasing. Beacon Point tenants expect to provide 90+ permanent jobs and serve over 75,000 customers annually. The project is expected to be completed in December 2023.

Southeast Raleigh Promise is excited to announce that we will relocate our offices to the Beacon Point complex once construction is complete. We will lease over 3,000 sq-ft of usable space, housing our administrative offices and a conference room that will be open to the public to rent for community meetings, training, and business events. To remove barriers for small non-profit organizations, Southeast Raleigh Promise will create a nonprofit suite that offers four (4) private offices for sub-leasing by nonprofits that provide services that meet the needs of the community.
